Monitoring Your Samsung ASHP Controller

@antonical:

  1. It does sound like there may be a fault on your MIM. If Samsung agree, and offer you a replacement PCB, make sure that its a rev 01. This has several additional (and useful) FSVs (inc. user-settable hysterisis on LWT and roomstat), but there are still lots of rev 00s in stock and they may palm you off with one of those if you aren’t careful. (But if you do get the new PCB, read Samsung FSV#6031 Cautionary Note first.)
  2. As for the NASA message listing, I happened to download a copy a few days before it disappeared from Wiki. Here it is, converted to Word:
    NASA Protocol.docx (77.1 KB).
    I also set up a subset of the more relevant (to the HTQ series) messages in Excel, which included a spreadsheet to help with message interpretation. See Samsung ASHP NASA Messages - Updated Table for the background, but I think I may have updated the spreadsheet since and the latest version is here:
    NASA_Interpreter.xlsx (74.1 KB)

Hope the above helps…
