I am looking to monitor 3 phase power consumption , out door temperature a swimming pool temperature in one location , and a second swimming pool temperature about 50 metres away. I am looking at a emonTX for the 3phase monitoring and temperatures and a emonTH for the 2nd pool linked back. Has anybody used a emonTH V2 at that range . In the future - Solar panels provide additional monitoring requirements.
Is the 50 m clear line-of sight, or are there walls or other obstructions in the way? If it’s clear line-of sight with nothing substantial between the emonTH and whatever your base station is, then you’ll probably be OK. If reception is marginal, adding a ground plane to both transmitter (emonTH) and receiver (base) will help.
