Using emonTx with Zigbee transport

I bought an emonTx3 a while back but was never able to make it work properly due to the RF path: our house is such that it is not possible to cover it all from one central point - it needs a mesh network of some sort.

I saw the article on connecting with Wifi, but I was hoping to use Zigbee as I already have a network covering all the house. Has anybody done this, and which Zigbee module did they use?

Short answer, no :slight_smile:.

I’d suggest getting a PiZeroW and using that. I’ve got a cobbled together WEMOS Mini and use ESPHome to forward on the serial data but that is a lot more work.

Good idea, I hadn’t thought of that. I already have several ESPHome devices doing various stuff with Home Assistant.
