I pried open the EdiMax Smart Plug SP-2101W (US Version) and took a few pictures.
Case:
The Smart Plug can be easily opened with a triangle head screwdriver size ▵18 (1.8mm size ▵). Remove the four screws.
The case can be separated using your finger nails or a nylon pry tool. There are four clips total with two clips on each side.
