Most of the time I’m accessing my EmonPi at home, through my LAN with a 192.xxx IP address. Is it possible to configure the Pi to skip asking for the username and password when accessed locally?
Does this help: Disable login at emoncms web frontend
I think it’s primarily emonCMS, not the Pi. You can set up a pair of key files on a Linux machine, and this can in essence give passwordless access to the Pi, but not emonCMS.
As far as I know, the answer in the sense of being able to do anything (including changing & deleting) inside emonCMS is no. I suspect the reason is, emonCMS can’t know that external access from the outside world is blocked at your router, though where the APIkey stands in relation to all this, I don’t know.
