Emoncms.org seems to be down this morning (Sat 15th Feb) - getting DNS error
Yup, same here.
Same, no data for mine past 05:18 GMT
Thank you, Im also seeing this, the servers are fine on the backend (connecting via SSH) trying to track down what’s happening to cause this issue, will update as soon as I can.
Seems to be some kind of selective block that’s affecting some of us and not others. @glyn.hudson can access and I can access via mobile but not my internet router…
We can see a drop in data upload traffic of about 15% on the server, so it’s quite substantial…
but Im none the wiser yet as to what is causing it.
Same with me getting DNS error from emoncms.org on mobile and desktop. Connections to other services e.g. Enphase all ok
I am on BT can’t access via router but can from mobile data on my phone
Looks like there is a widespread issue with access to some sites via BT unfortunately…
This is what it looks like on emoncms.org, the number of active feeds has dropped from 19500 to 16000 and quite abruptly at 05:24am:
Looks like it’s an external DNS issue beyond my control unfortunately, will keep monitoring this through the day, hopefully the cause is resolved soon!
Thanks for the update Trystan.
I have had a message back from BT confirming nationwide issue with BT mail and DNS Servers. They arge giving a 3 hour fix window at the moment
Thanks @sarnold814 that’s good to know!
Will the data during this period be lost or is it floating somewhere i the cloud and will update all?
Some data may be uploaded by emonHub from emonPi/base devices once connectivity resumes, but that’s not always very reliable. Uploads via emoncms sync should resume without data loss.
Still looking like no DNS via Plusnet landline (part of BT group), but OK via EE Mobile/WiFi/landline (EE is also part of BT group).
I think it’s back!
It is for me.
Yes just come back online data appearing from 13:00
For those using our standard emonPi1/2 emonBase software with emonHub, interested to hear how much of the outage data gets restored. I can see some elevated input queue activity on the server at the moment…
