HeatpumpMonitor February Update

I’d also be interested in averaghe room temp, although that’s a bit of a minefield in itself! Currently monitoring gas use, cost and temperatures before taking the leap.

Shouldn’t “Heat pump and Fabric” view only show the heating-only electicty usage and COP? With another view for DHW? (and top of the scops being the view that uses total COP)

I guess the challenge is that only a subset of installs differenciante between heating and dhw? Need some AI to auto-detect DHW cycles :slight_smile: Or can the heating (and future dhw) views exclude the installs that don’t differenciate between heating and dhw, I think that would make more sense personally, else it’s a bit too much of a mixed bag.

Really like the idea of using different views though, recognizing that aggregate COP is only part of the picture :+1:

Great to see energy per unit area! Is the kWhe/m2 calculated over the selected time window?

Fwiw over DJF my gas boiler heated my home to 19° using 25 kWh of gas per square metre.

Yes that’s correct :+1:

It would be great to add a temperature normalization to the kWh/m2 energy use, e.g. kWh/m2/degree days. If no inside temperature is available it could just be 20°C - outside temperature or otherwise inside temperature - outside temperature. No degree days should be accumulated on days when there is no heating energy use.

I updated my emoncms instance after it stopped updating https://heatpumpmonitor.org/ but I think it’s broken again.

If the ‘Data length’ and COP column data are greyed out does that mean that the system is not updating correctly or something else?

My system is showing different heat input/output and scop data directly versus the heatpumpmonitor.org dashboard;

This means that it doesn’t have MID level metering.

I don’t know why the SCOP values don’t match up, but the 30 day values do, so it probably working fine.

There is some discrepancy in the power data in the beginning of the feed, so setting the Start Date in your app to 1700352000 (Nov 19th) might help. [Edited]
