Weird case user 1 got corrupted somehow

Something similar was reported (and solved) fairly recently, but I simply cannot find the the thread. From what I remember, it involves setting a flag to allow the local emonCMS to become multi-user, create a second user, then copy part of the (valid and working) database of the new user over the bad data for the original.

They are held in an encrypted form in the mysql tables, I do not think you can (easily) unencrypt the password from the mysql data. In settings.php you should be able to enable the “reset password” feature (off by default) which will allow you to reset your password via a link that then becomes visible at the log in screen. However this requires the email settings to also be configured correctly in settings.php and swift mail to be installed and working. What will be easier is to enable the “…

Note - this relates to an old version of emonCMS - locations and names (i.e. settings.php) have changed, but I’m not familiar with the details.
