Something I have noticed with the OpenEVSE Wifi is when it loses connection to the wifi network. The units will revert to broadcasting the 192.168.4.1 network and require a power cycle to go back to connection to the set wifi network. Was wondering if we could maybe have them attempt to reconnect to the set network maybe 10 times over 15 minutes or so before going back to default? That or maybe have a setting to choose to just continue to try to connect to the set network and cycle back to the default every 5 minutes or so?
I had this problem too and no amount of fettling resolved the issues. I caved and purchased the Ethernet module instead and the unit has been much more reliable.
If the unit is disconnecting it’s usually due to a weak WiFi signal, I would recommend trying to improve the WiFi signal by using a mesh WiFi network.
