Has anybody seen this new energy monitor that’s about to hit the market, one thing that makes it stand apart is that it is supposedly meant to be able to give you consumption data down to appliance level from one CT.
@Dave I saw something similar recently and I believe it was from a US company. There is some speculation how accurate the device sensing is but in theory it should work.
We have RF transmitters hooked up to our energy monitoring system and we coded it to turn off the mobile phone charger when the battery is charged. The charger is plugged into an RF socket and the monitoring system is just covering a 6 socket extension lead so the coding is fairly straightforward.
Different task altogether monitoring a whole house full of devices.
