I hope the information may be of interest to the community and anyone considering a Valliant or Saunier Duval ASHP. I would not claim the manufacturers information is exhaustive, but it shows the similarities between the Valliant Arotherm Plus and the Saunier Duval Genia Air Max.
Both Valliant and Saunier Duval are part of the Valliant group. The difference branding apparently serves different markets, albeit the Arotherm Plus and Genia Air Max ASHPs show similar capabilities. This would make design and manufacturing sense to control costs and keep component parts standardised. You can also see that some models are not marketed in some countries.
The table below shows key heat output ranges (kW) for A7/W35 extracted from the manufacturer’s supplied information. The model designation seems similar in many cases. However, the heat output range is not always equivalent. Several of the heat pumps appear to have compressor speed restrictions to limit the maximum heat output. Eg HA 4-6 appears to be a restricted version of HA 5-6.
