The link to the USB to UART driver is broken on the firmware modification page (Firmware Modification - Guide | OpenEnergyMonitor). Also, are there instructions on how to specify the upload port? I get an error when attempting to upload via VSCode: “Error: Please specify upload_port
for environment or use global --upload-port
option.”
Please look at the “Learn” section and “Electricity Monitoring” → “Programmers”. You need to check which programmer you have - the drivers are different.
I’m afraid I no longer use any M$ software, so I can’t help with VSCode. I recommend you use the Arduino IDE, full instructions for installing and using that are also in ‘Learn’.
@Gwil: The errant link is:
-
USB to UART adapter windows drivers will need to be installed
Can you (ideally) refer to ‘Learn’ instead, now that both SELabs & FTDI might be needed?
