Im running very old EMONCMS installation 8.5.2 | 2015.07.20 at linux Debian server in hosting center. Now I need to upragde it to up to date version, as that old version doesnt support unique identifier by sending data to Home Assistant system. Is there any automated upgrade available or I have to uninstall that old version and install new one?
My advice would be to start by making a good backup then to restore it on a fresh install…and then to adapt your inputs (mqtt or http posting ?)
Try the docker standalone container. It is very versatile.
