I am trying to make some modifications to the emonpi image, but I don’t understand how the updating is done.
From the documentation, it is stated that there is a cronjob checking the updateflag file each minute, and this is start the update process.
I am not convinced this is the case anymore:
(1) The update always starts right away when clicking the update button in EmonCMS. (shouldn’t this vary depending on current job ‘left-over’ time?)
(2) Update runs even if cronjobs are disabled/removed.
Could someone give me some pointers on how the update process is done? Unless I misunderstood something.
