I had Solar installed two months ago (no batteries) . In anticipation of the install I requested a smart meter during late 2024. Despite octopus emailing me every so often to say slots are available in my area, none materialise. Octopus now ignore any communication. What other options do I have?
Try giving them a call, if you haven’t already. I find them hit and miss but if you manage to find someone super helpful over the phone you may be able to get this resolved quickly. But if not, try again. Octopus seem to be only as good as the person you happen to be handled by.
Maybe we were lucky but they came within a week of our requesting, fitted no issues.
Even had an auditor drop in and meticulously check over everything the installer had done.
I find a post on X has an effect especially if you @ Greg as well. Either that or raise a complaint call - that usually fixes things.

I’ll give that a go this afternoon. It appears the only option left.
My experience was similar. Asked for a smart meter in January last year. Although they replied to emails they didn’t actually do anything. In the end I raised a complaint after 9 months and finally got a meter installed 3 weeks later.
