SSH to a new emonpi2 (Heatpump level 3) / Heat meter not detected

Hi guys,

I’ve been working on commissioning my new EmonPi2 (Heatpump monitor level 3). Unfortunately it is not seeing the flow meter and I need to SSH to the pi to see what is going on with the serial ports.

2025-08-23 10:00:10,045 ERROR MBUS Could not find MBUS device
2025-08-23 10:00:10,046 ERROR MBUS Could not write to MBUS serial port
2025-08-23 10:00:10,046 ERROR MBUS read_data_frame could not read from serial port
2025-08-23 10:00:10,046 DEBUG MBUS Invalid MBUS data received 0 bytes 0.1 ms, count: 1
2025-08-23 10:00:10,246 ERROR MBUS Could not write to MBUS serial port
2025-08-23 10:00:10,246 ERROR MBUS read_data_frame could not read from serial port
2025-08-23 10:00:10,247 DEBUG MBUS Invalid MBUS data received 0 bytes 0.1 ms, count: 2
2025-08-23 10:00:10,447 DEBUG MBUS Decoded MBUS data: None

But… I can’t for the life of me find the credentials to SSH in. SSH is enabled (I checked on the screen when it was started up). But none of these passwords work:

The flow meter MBus config is “default”, as I received it and it is connected and powered.

[[MBUS]]
    Type = EmonHubMBUSInterfacer
    [[[init_settings]]]
        device_vid = 1659
        device_pid = 9123
        baud = 2400
    [[[runtimesettings]]]
        pubchannels = ToEmonCMS,
        read_interval = 10
        validate_checksum = False
        nodename = heatpump
        [[[[meters]]]]
            [[[[[heatmeter]]]]]
                address = 1
                type = standard

Any suggestions?

I’ve sent you a PM.

Hi Rudolph,

What’s the shop order number for this system? I’ll check to see what the SSH password is.
