SQL Password expired?

Hi All
When I try to connect via a web browser I get:-

Can’t connect to database, please verify credentials/configuration in settings.php
Error message: No such file or directory

Reading the blogs it seems my password may have expired. Im on a 2018 build still.
Ive tried a new sd card with 2024 build but Im unable to boot the pi - it remains in “booting…”.
And Im unable to get into the root access of the database to change the password as I dont know the default root password from factory.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Welcome, David, to the OEM forum.

If you look on the SD Card download page in Docs (emonSD Download — OpenEnergyMonitor 0.0.1 documentation), and expand the version you downloaded, you’ll see the present passwords for that version (from July 2021). Before then, I’m reasonably sure the SSH password was emonpi2016.

Thanks Robert
I found the SSH pwd previously and am able to connect SSH.
Its the database root pwd I am missing.

The version I am running is 2018 so I am unable to locate any docs on the sql pwd.

I have a note:

mysql -u emoncms -p emoncms (password is: emonpiemoncmsmysql2016) [same p/w for mariaDB ]
(Also listed under the May 16 and Nov 22 SD Card.)

Are you able to advise which pwd I might need to change to correct the error I see when connecting ?

If indeed it is a pwd error ?!

Robert - I have abandoned the 2018 build and flashed the 2024 build to a new card.
After some grief with it hanging in booting state for several hours I have finally managed to logon via the web client and update everything.
Fingers crossed…

Had you tried emonpiemoncmsmysql2016 with that?

Sorry I did not - I have re-flashed and after some fiddling with upgrades I have it working again.
Thank you all so much for the support given on this board.
