Sontex 531 and m-bus module

Hi

Hoping someone can help me start my journey into monitoring and tweaking the efficiency of my heat pump install.

First step is to get my hands on the data from the Sontex 531 installed in my system. I have read that this unit can have a factory fitted m-bus module as well as two additional communication modules. I can see mine has a RS232 module being used by the RHI scheme but do not know if it is fitted with the factory m-bus module. Is there a way to tell from the photo below? The instruction manual says contacts 24-25 will be active if the module was factory fitted.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Andy

It doesn’t need a module, MBUS is built in as standard, see the MBUS terminals:

I think you will need to remove the RS232 module, I don’t think you can use two comms at the same time.

This is the emonHUB interfacer you’ll want to use: https://docs.openenergymonitor.org/emonhub/emonhub-interfacers.html#sontex-531

You may need to try and guess the MBUS ID, this is usually 0 or maybe 1 by default for a Sontex
