Some bigger picture news items of note

I see Client Earth is having a go at shaking things up in the UK gas industry in an effort to tackle heat pump misinformation:

In more pleasant (and geeky) news: Mitsubishi Heavy Industries have just commissioned the world’s highest capacity high temperature heat pump. It supplies 1.2 MW to a paper mill in Finland in the form of superheated steam at 150°C to 180°C whilst attaining a CoP of 2.1, the heat source is at 10°C to 20°C (I assume river water) and the refrigerant is R600a (isobutane).

I expect to see some of the more traditional Sussex combi boiler specialists recommending the same model for larger detached houses around here soon.
