Solax X3 Ultra

HI

I am looking at a Solax X3 Ultra 30k Inverter, but i don’t find much about compatible Batteries/BMS.

In some forum i found mentiond that they used pylontech protocol but then changed it.

“EmanuelFAU” built a " solax_can_fake" which “change the can watchdogmessage (0x1877), which includes the battery manufacturer code. Whith this, any sutable battery can be used with the solax x3 hybrid G4”.

I don’t know if the X3 Ultra is the same.

Could DIY BMS change this byte too? Should I risk buying this inverter too use with a DIY BMS?

Thanks Chris

If you get the Solax X3 Ultra, I will support the implementation. Should be not much of an issue if there is a working can faker.

Thank you, but the can faker is for another inverter (same manufacturer but different family).
So i am not confident it would work and i can’t afford to buy it on a whim.
Sorry for the late answer. I haven’t decided yet.

I have Solax X3 Ultra. What do you need? I want to connect some non-solax battery. Thanks

Hi

Can you get the CAN protocoll from your solax supplier?

Does it take the same batteries as the solax x3 hybrid G4?
If so we can probably adapt the pylontec protocol of the diyBMS to work with Solax by changing the ID in the watchdogmessage like the solax_can_fake does.

@roesenrot or i are willing to adapt the diyBMS firmware to match the Solax if you’re willing to build a diyBMS with battery and test it.
