Just downloaded last image (emonSD-01Feb24) and burnt and installed to pi3+. Does not start, nor do the default user/ pass work, emonsd/emonsd. Any tip?

How? We have found some burning software works better, and some fails. There is a very long thread here, which might help:
When first starting, you do need to be patient as it reboots a couple of times. If you interrupt it, it will fail.
Try the burn/startup again, but go off and do something else after first powerup and see what happens
