Can I suggest you look at Contribution: Samsung ASHP NASA link <-> MQTT bridge (Home Assistant), particularly the later posts? There are several very knowledgeable users (@toadhall, @Topaz) who may be able to help you.
(Personally I use a cheap RS485-ethernet adapter to bring in serial data to my laptop for SNET to monitor, but don’t need anything more sophisticated, so can’t answer your questions myself.)
