Looking to start dabbling in home assist and using Leenuss’s gateway for the Grant unit. Im getting the HA green pi, just wondering if we’re allowed to install his gateway on the OEM PI? If I order a 3rd pi and all the wires that come with it, ill probably end up divorced 
Yes, it’s no problem to install the Econext on an emonPi or emonHP. This is what I’ve done myself. Do you mind if I make this message thread public? I’m sure this info would help others on the forum.

No, I would avoid running any service which does a lot of logging to the SD card. We’ve optimised the Emoncms service to minimise SD card writes to ensure a long SD card lifespan.

I’m also in this position, with a brand new Grant 6.5kW sat outside, Home Assistant already running, and I’d love to run the gateway on the emonpi that has just been installed with it.
I’d also like to avoid screwing up the emonpi accidentally.
Would it be possible for you to together a very simple guide to do this?
