Hello !!
Few months ago, i bought Led Pulse Sensor (Optical Utility Meter LED Pulse Sensor - Shop | OpenEnergyMonitor) and i have a problem with the sun.
When the sun is over the meter, the sensor permanently detects the sun.
What are you suggesting me to solve this problem ??
Has it ever happened to you?
Best regards
Welcome, Simon.
Cover the meter to shield it from the sun.
You cannot adjust the sensitivity, so covering the meter and sensor is your only option, if you want to keep the sensor.
Otherwise, use a c.t., and possibly an a.c. adapter, and use the pulse sensor to accurately calibrate those.
Here, in Argentina all meters are inside the the transparent plastic like this
The sun enter to the inside and the pulse sensor detect it.
Where is the box? Is it inside your house or outside?
Is the box sealed, therefore must the pulse sensor be on the outside looking in?
Whichever it is, I still think you must cover the box + sensor. If you cannot do that, then I can think of only two alternatives: use a c.t. as I already suggested, or install your own meter inside your house in a dark place - or in a place that you can make dark.
