As the current guidance is not to install batteries in lofts, the most suitable location on my house is an outdoor installation.
Other than ensuring a suitable IP rating for the battery and inverter (they will be co-located) - most outdoor systems come fitted with a battery heater, or they say performance will be degraded during cold weather.
Has anyone got any experience with outdoor batteries with heaters? How often do the heaters run in practice? What is the consumption of the heaters? Is it better to accept a lower performance in cold weather rather than use a heater?
Does anyone have any positive or negative recommendations for outdoor batteries and inverters?
