Can I update the FW with one of these files?

What is the difference between v1 and v2? And which should I use?
Also can I connect the board via the onboard micro usb and flash it using that using esptool on my computer?

Either is fine, the v1 is the existing GUI, the v2 is the new beta GUI

All went well flashing via the onboard micro USB with esptool and I like the v2 GUI
Also managed to get an ethernet cable up to the charger so no more random wifi drops
