Old MBUS-USB Reader wiring schematic

I have one of the old openenergymonitor MBUS-USB readers which I have been meaning to connect my Sontex heat meter on my heat pump to my EmonPi for ages - I’m finally getting around to it now but I can’t find the wiring schematic. The reader has a connector with 4 inputs - presumably for 2-wire inputs for up to 2 different meters. I can’t see the wiring schematic on GITHUB and there are no labels on the connector on the reader. Any advice on how to wire this up? I’ve identified the 2 MBUS outputs on the Sontex meter board.

Hi Jez,

Here’s the pinout of the module it’s AA BB, take care not to short out the MBUS connections, if they’re sorted out this will damage to MBUS reader. Best to power down the unit before adjusting the wiring.

Thanks Glyn @glyn.hudson - my MBUS reader is not the one in your photo - I think it was an earlier version - see photo attached. Will this still be AABB on the pinout?

Yes, the adaptor is the same. It’s just mounted on a Pi hat in my photo
