New install - TX4 not giving any data

Hi ,

Just received new hardware and setting up an install of emonTX4 and emonpi. I’ve registered the pi onto the local WiFi and can connect ok after creating a new local account.
The TX4 has one CT clamp and temperature sensor installed. Red LED is indicating power.

I’m not getting anything from the TX4 into emon. Tried rebooting etc, but nothing.

Appreciate any ideas. I thought it would work out of box !

Steve
PS I have my own emon TX3 setup for years … so thought I knew what I was doing !

Are both the emonTx and emonPi new? If it is an older emonPi it’s probably running the Jeelib classic radio format, but the new Tx4 will be the new format. (RFM69_LOW_POWER_LABS)

One will need flashing with new firmware so they are running the same format.

Can you just confirm you have an EmonTX4 and an EmonPi (not just a raspberry Pi or an emonBase)?

Have you edited the emonhub config at all? This looks odd.

I suggest as this is a new device, you contact the shop directly. @Gwil

Resolved the issue.
Very embarrassing. The AC power had been connected into the wrong RJ connector.
Working fine now.
