There are many other similar items available. This particular one was configurable in height, to easily fit the Vaillant sensor.

Thanks. I’ve got this sensor though and I don’t think it will fit in. Maybe I’ll have to hack something together. A simple plastic “roof” with ventilation holes might be sufficient.

Not come across that sensor before; what’s the part number?

Mine’s the standard VRC 693 wired sensor.

I don’t have the part number, but it also has a DCF receiver to get the time wirelessly (without internet).
