My Heatpump app: daily kWh totals always 0, although kWh feeds are logging

System: Vaillant aroTHERM Plus 12 kW, data pushed from Home Assistant via emoncms_history every 60 s (emoncms.org, heatpumpmonitor system 1425).

The My Heatpump app’s power view works fine (electric, flow, return, outside temperature all plot correctly). But the daily view and “Total since” show 0 kWh for both electricity and heat, and SCOP “–”. The daily view does create days, and shows outside temperature for each one.

Config:

  • heatpump_elec_kwh → hp_elec_lifetime_kwh (PHPFina, 60 s, cumulative, currently ~526 kWh and rising)
  • heatpump_heat_kwh → hp_heat_life_kwh (PHPFina, 60 s, cumulative, ~2,430 kWh)
  • heatpump_elec → hp_elec_power_local (W)
  • heatpump_heat → AUTO (unmapped deliberately; our heat power source was unreliable)
  • flowT, returnT, outsideT mapped; daily pre-processor enabled; start date 0

Things tried: renamed two old, stale feeds that were called heatpump_elec_kwh and heatpump_heat_kwh (in case auto-select was grabbing them), then “Reload daily data”. Days rebuild, but kWh still 0.

Is the daily processor perhaps requiring a heat power feed, or something else I’ve missed? Screenshots attached.

Update: I think I’ve found the cause. In myheatpump_process.php, calculate_window_cops() returns zero kWh unless both heatpump_elec and heatpump_heat power feeds are configured, and the daily view and totals use those values rather than from_energy_feeds. As I’ve deliberately left heatpump_heat unmapped (no reliable heat power source; Vaillant only gives cumulative heat kWh), every day comes out at 0. Would it be possible for the daily totals to fall back to the from_energy_feeds kWh values when no heat power feed is set? Or is there a recommended way to supply heat power for systems that only have cumulative heat kWh?
