Thanks for your work on this dashboard since years you’re on it I read !
Maybe I’m in the wrong thread, I’ve search how the auto-configuration works and couldn’t find it… I’m trying to get my Dashboard alive
My HeatPump is running since this week-end with the Ebusd interface on HA. I already created some feeds in emoncms, when and how can I see the dashboard based on the feeds already present ?
Your system is set up for cooling, which heatpump monitor isn’t optimised for, hence the negative COP. We’ll need to do some work to accommodate these kinds of systems.
Do you have an Emoncms feed for a boolean flag to identify when the HP is in cooling mode?
What’s your experience running cooling via radiators and UFH? Have you noticed a significant cooling effect? I’m assuming you’re staying above the dew point to avoid condensation on the radiators?
Yes I can have a feed non zero when it’s in cooling mode.
About the cooling effect :
. The 5 radiators 1,10m x 0,90m (flow reverted - cold flow entry down, warm return up) : we can feel cold air up to 3 meters around them. Delta T is around 4 degrees and the flow is already at the lowest. All of them are on the 1st floor in bedrooms, warmest rooms of the house under the roof, under the sun, it’s not miraculous but it’s better than nothing I’m sure.
. The UFH : on the all ground level, after a long time of working, we feel the all mass of the ground floor being cold, like you feel the warm in the winter. It’s definitely not an aircon but the day after, the floor still being cold, it reduce the warming of the house during the day. I’m thinking to add an American style fan on the ceiling of the living room to brass the air on the floor to optimize the exchange.
Also, the sooner it’s cooling, the slower the house will warm under the sun. It’s set to start once 24 is reached downstairs.
the total cooling report is around 2000W with my setup , ASHP is running at it’s lowest power, compressor at 25%… Flow is set to be 1 degree above the dew point indeed. Lower, it’s condensate after some hours. With +1K not.
Maybe I’ll add a big convector pushing cold air into the ducts of the “mechanical ventilation system”, I don’t know how to translate it… It’s a double air flow system with passive heat exchanger to warm up the outside air with inside air who’s blowned outside during the winter. Heat exchanger is bypassed in the summer.
Like you understand, work still in progress about cooling it can do better
That’s good to hear, I tested cooling on my ASHP using just radiators and didnt find it very effective with flow temp above the dew point, but all my radaitors are piped only from the bottom, so maybe this had an effect. Do you have a valve to reverse the flow?
Also, how do you calculate dew point to stay +1C above it? Is this automatic?
