My configured feeds are NULL

At 1am this morning my logging feeds all show as NULL:

I can create new feeds and they update as normal, but I have no clue how to fix the existing feeds (or why the indoor temp feed is still working). I see that there were some fixes pushed out in homeassistant 2025.9 for emoncms_history, could that be related?

Delete the new Inputs (that view is the inputs page) and the input should revert to the old one that has the logging to a Feed defined.

@TrystanLea - still happens occasionally :frowning: .

Sorry can you be a bit more specific, maybe give an example on what to delete exactly?

Is this on an emonPi @alibloke ?

No it’s the Alexjunk Docker image

Click on edit, at the top, Select the ones without any blue boxes next to them and delete them (this doesn’t delete data).

The ones with blue boxes, should then show active.

That didn’t work, instead I had to delete and recreate the NULL feeds.

PHEW, I was rather worried that I’d lose my data but it’s coming through now and I still have history.

Many thanks @borpin !

Any idea what might have gone wrong here? There hasn’t been a Docker image update for emoncms in 5 months.

There is a new docker image here that takes a different approach and is better maintained thanks to @alexandrecuer https://hub.docker.com/r/alexjunk/emoncms

Thanks @TrystanLea I was referring to the Alexjunk image (I wasn’t complaining about updates, just noting that it wasn’t an emoncms image update that broke things). It’s great, been using it for just over a year now.

A similar thing happened to me recently, at exactly midnight (UTC), all my feeds went null and stopping recording data. I tried a variety of things including rebooting, but eventually I just physically disconnected and reconnected the power to the pi, and it all started working again. It’d been running fine for years prior to that. Still have no idea what was wrong, although I suspect, due to the remedy that it may be some hardware issue.

It happened again early this morning. @TrystanLea only the version of homeassistant has changed, is there anything that can be done to diagnose the issue?

Hello @alibloke issue has been diagnosed and I believe a fix is working it’s way through: emonHP duplicate inputs from Home Assistant - #6 by TrystanLea

Oh fantastic news, thanks Trystan

see emonHP duplicate inputs from Home Assistant - #19 by alexandrecuer.

It will appear in HA 2025.09.4
