Missing and repeated data in my EmonPi feed

I recently had EmonPi added to monitor my Vaillant Heat pump, set up and installed by my heat pump installers.

To me there are two oddities in the data - can anyone tell me if they are normal or if they can be “fixed”?

  1. I understand that if the data gets out of sync this results in nulls in the feed, and I do get occasionaI examples of this at seemingly random times. However, I also get between one and three lines of null data on the hour every hour - is this normal?

  2. The data feed contains data every 10 seconds. However, the heat pump flow rate and the heat pump power data are only produced once every 16 seconds (I timed this on the Axioma flow meter screen) resulting in a pattern of repeated values (e.g. 28.46, 28.46, 28.42, 28.42, 28.43, 28.46, 28.46, 28.41, 28.47, 28.47, … for the flow rate) - is this normal? Can the flow rate data interval be reduced?

I presume your installer bought the Heat Pump Monitor Kit from our Shop? If they did, on-line support is included in the price you paid, so email [email protected] and refer to this topic.
