I’ve got a level 3 heat pump monitoring bundle and yesterday morning at 06:15 the electric_power feed dropped out for no reason, it returned at 14:27 and stayed until 21:30 after which it dropped out again. It hasn’t returned since. Been running fine since Oct 2024. The kit sits in the corner of my garage and hasn’t been touched since installation. I’ve power cycled the EmonHP with no luck. I’ve also unplugged and reseated both usb cables into the EmonHP with no change other than a temporary drop out the other HP feeds.
Any thoughts as to where to begin troubleshooting please?
Looking at your account, it looks like the modbus reader is connected ok but it’s not currently receiving any response from the SDM120 electric meter. I would therefore suggest checking the connections between the modbus reader and the electric meter - it might be that one of those connections have come loose or something has damaged the cable in-between?
Thank you and it is now resolved. A loose connection circled, having never been in this unit before, I suspect it has never been seated correctly since it was installed.
