The chat about the expired root certificate affecting emoncms.org is making me nervous. There are a lot of devices out there with really old software on them now. Jessie stopped getting security updates in 2018, which is part of the reason why we are seeing failures. Do we have any data on the software running on deployed systems?
Is there a way we can contact the users of these systems and encourage them to upgrade? I know that there is a large installed base sometimes in really inaccessible locations but as good internet citizens we should be doing our best to bring these devices up to date.
