I found discussions about load balancing as a future feature for OpenEVSE back in 2022. That feature still doesn’t exist, and it seems to not be on the list of upcoming features for them. I’m considering swapping out my JB48 boards for OpenEVSE, but before I do that I need to know that I’m not simply wasting money. With two EVSEs, my needs are as follows: 1) Charge during off-peak hours UNLESS I chose to override, and if I do it has to be simple. 2) Record historical charging sessions so I can download data (manually is fine). 3) Ideally, load balancing. If not, then go in and set each to 24 amps for dual charging, and when I need to, change one to 1amp and the other to 47amps.
I have no problem utilizing HomeAssistant or similar, but I’m looking to see if someone has already done this and published it - I’m not capable of writing load balancing code.
