Just a heads up for people having bitdefender 2019 installed on their pc. It’s preventing emoncms from logging in the user. Bitdefender 2019 does not give any popups to notify you of this and you need to go to the notifications tab and select the blocked connections and add it to the exceptions in order for login functionality to work again.
I have not updated my local emoncms in ages so i knew nothing was changed to my files.
Only posting just in case someone else will have this problem in the future and has bitdefender 2019 installed.
It’s probably related due to my local emoncms running on http not https
