Updated graph with several additional hours. Turned off the yellow charge controller feed in the multigraph to better show the relationship between the NREL model and the measured irradiance. It’s also a good lesson in system sizing and design, as you can clearly see the phenomenon of the edge-of-cloud effect and why it’s important to give a 1.2x safety factor when choosing a charge controller relative to your array size. Make sure it’s capable of at least 1.2x the nameplate specs of the array! (I’ve got an FM80 with plenty of room to grow)
