House, Heat pump and more

Thought this might be of interest.
Kind of hardware…

Here’s a whole house with ground source heat pump and tripple glazing for sale.

4/5 bed. Wood burner, sauna.
Nice view of the Indalsälven river.

In snowy Åre, Sweden where we ski from time to time.

Asking price was a smidgen under £200K🙂

Driftkostnader (running costs) 3488 kr / month = £256 a month for ALL utilities, Council Tax equivalent and insurance!

Energy class A rating.

It sold for £226K in the end!

When I compare the prices and specs I keep telling myself it’s too cold, dark and isolated, plus taxes are higher, food and cars cost more🙂, but it probably all balances out in the end.
There is no inheritance tax there (used to be but law changed).

There are quite a few properties for sale and many have ground source but also air source heat pumps.

Much colder average winter temperatures than the UK.
At minus 25C they reckon on a COP of around 2.
Of course there’s no natural gas to speak of and oil / direct electricity heating can’t compete price wise with heatpumps.
