Help understanding why my Nibe charge pump is suddenly behaving oddly

I have my charge pump configured to not run when the compressor is off. This is the “intermittent” setting within the service / installer menu.

By default the charge pump is set to “auto” and it will run at a specified value when the compressor is off - Nibe call this wait mode. I agree 30% is a little high and this is the default setting so appears to have not been changed. I would think 10% is more appropriate. This one must be set to auto which is why it is running whenever the heat pump wants to think about heating.

The settings are in the service menu at 5.11.1.2 - charge pump (gp12)

The best setting will depend on how the secondary side is configured. My secondary side runs 24/7 with no zoning or switching (all manifold valves and thermostats are long gone) so I don’t need the charge pump to help circulate around the house and I don’t want to be sending the water outside and through the ASHP unless I want it heating up via the ASHP. Having the charge pump at intermittent achieves this.
