HeatpumpMonitor.org heat pump database

I’m happy to announce a new feature on HeatpumpMonitor.org, the heat pump database!

This database enables:

Future plans include:

  • Summaries of key technical properties such as min & max flow rates, compressor amperage, data sheet based capacity information (that can then be cross checked with the monitoring based test results).

Clicking on a particular make & model of heat pumps shows the information page for that heat pump. Here’s the page for the Vaillant Arotherm+ R290 7 kW with the max output tests copied over from the spreadsheet.

https://heatpumpmonitor.org/heatpump/view?id=3

If you are logged in, the page shows an entry box to submit a URL for a max output test, entering the test and clicking ‘load and save’ automatically fetches the key metrics for the test period from the dashboard based on the URL.

@glyn.hudson and I will do a separate post and possibly a video on how to perform these max output tests alongside careful selection of the test period. This is just a quick post for now to give a quite overview of what we are building in preparation for next winter (during a heat wave in the middle of summer  )

Any feedback is welcome!

Hi Tristan,

Nice work. But the database is missing the 8kW Mitsubishi R290 and so our system (ID 542).

Thanks @RobS are you sure it’s 8.0 kW and not 8.5 kW, it’s not listed here? https://les.mitsubishielectric.co.uk/products/residential-heating/outdoor/ecodan-r290

Although strangely here: https://midsummerwholesale.co.uk/pdfs/r290-puz-wz80vaa--bs-.pdf but not on the Mitsi website?

@TrystanLea Mitsubishi seem to have replaced their 8kW R290 with a 8.5kW model when they announced the 10kW and 12kW R290 models. But ours is the 8kW model, just like the Midsomer link ( Mitsubishi Ecodan R290 8kW Monobloc Air Source Heat Pump Package ).
