I run traditional TRVs on all my emitters apart from three in the large living room and two in the upstairs hallway (which are where the Mitsi wireless temperature sensors for my two zone layout live).
I run with auto adapt, have a three port buffer, no cycling issues, warm house and no overheating of the bedrooms.
