Enabling emonbase as a wifi access point for a Glow IHD/CAD unit

Is there any reason why I shouldn’t install hostapd and dnsmasq on an existing Raspberry Pi 3B+ POE emonbase (bullseye) board and set it up as a standard wifi access point. The emonbase unit has been running for several years and uses the eth0 connection to a local network that is just used for my IOT system.

I need WiFi access to connect a Glow IHD/CAD unit to an MQTT broker (not necessarily the emon one) running on my IOT network. The emonbase unit is in just the right place to host the WiFi access point rather than using a second Raspberry Pi for this. Would there be any gotchas when updating the emonbase software, or anything else, through the GUI ? Could I connect the Glow unit to the emon MQTT broker ?
