I believe it was just an oversight. USB-C connectors are symmetric, so you just connect the two respective D+/D- lines on the PCB, there’s no cost associated to it

I had thought that this topic was about problems with the web tool / emonTx5, and a request for any reports of success using the web tool.
The hardware of the emonTx4 is basically the same as the emonTx5, so I thought my experiences would be relevant.
