EmonTx, EmonGLCD & NanodeRf going spare

Having installed a new emonpi3 last weekend, I have my original system components from 2012 going spare.

No idea where the uart programming cable has got to, but beyond that everything was working fine.

If someone wants to cover the postage or offer a nice donation to a charity, its free.

Welcome, Max, to the OEM Forum.

Wow! 14 years, and you’ve never had a need to ask for help or advice - this must be some sort of a record. For anyone who hasn’t had those devices as long as us (I got mine - emonTx, emonGLCD & NanodeRF also in 2012) perhaps I should clarify that, without being able replace the RFM12B radio module in all three (and that’s seriously not recommended without the proper tools and experience), they can’t be updated to use the present radio protocol, LowPowerLabs. But other than that, the emonTx V2 (which is what it must be) CAN be updated to do continuous monitoring, though it will still need to continue with the original JeeLib radio protocol.

For anybody looking to put it all to use, I and a few others should still be able to offer some support - although we’ll be a little rusty.

A lack of support is a testament to the hardware and software I feel!

I bought a soldering station (it’s still going strong) and the emon kit was the first circuit boards I’d soldered since college 20 years earlier.

The software was my first encounter with arduino, so I had to dust off my C too. I’ve still got it loaded on my current PC, although it doesn’t get used much these days.

I think I had a contribution to the EmonGLCD merged back in the day, the history page was my addition.
