emonESP can publish data to emonCMS via both MQTT and the emonCMS API - am I correct in assuming that doesn’t make sense to configure both, and are there any pros/cons/preference for which method to use?
Hello @warrenashcroft yes, it doesnt make sense to configure both to post to a single emoncms installation. It can make sense were you want to post data locally to say an emonpi but also remotely to a remote emoncms server such as emoncms.org, you can use MQTT for the local connection and HTTP for the remote connection
It is also a limitation of the implementation. Using a PiZero, you can post to as many different devices as you like
