Quick question - is it possible to connect the EmonPi to a cellular gateway via the RJ45? To provide reporting where the is no WiFi?
Example unit I am considering: Teltonika TRB140 Industrial Rugged 4G/LTE Gateway

Cannot see any reason why not. However, you will need something to allow you remote access like Dataplicity Remote Access - Guide | OpenEnergyMonitor
There is another service someone uses on here - the name of it escapes me.
Alternatively, if you know what you are doing on the network side, set up your own firewall etc. and expose it directly.
Iād suggest installing certbot and setting up an SSL certificate as well.
