EmonEVSE charging with low current

I’m seeing some unusual behaviour during an overnight charging schedule. It’s happened a couple of times - the EmonEVSE appears to only draw enough current to charge at 1kw, which is well below what it draws even during PV Divert.

Do you have the pilot data for the same period?

The pilot has been consistently at ‘32’

Do you have any other monitor you can use to verify the power reading from the EVSE e.g smart meter display?

Yes, the consumer unit has a SDM120 with an LCD display.

I’ve just restarted the charger and it is charging at 32 amps again, will see what happens overnight.

I have had a similar experience to this with my 2012 Peugeot Ion.
I assumed it was an issue with my car, rather than OpenEVSE

Since these two slow charging sessions it has returned to normal.

I haven’t seen this again since the last time I posted. Since then I’ve updated the OpenEVSE firmware and I expect the car has probably had an over-the-air update, so never did get to the bottom of it.

Andrew.
