My Emoncms inputs page is giving me some node names that have been unasked for.
For instance of input 16 is listed as emonpi_16.
The inputs seems to show the right data, but allocated to strange names.
I have total failed to find where these input names are coming from.
Using Version low-write 11.7.4
Prior to this upadte, I had no problem.
Hello @TonyAntique could you share some screenshots of what your seeing? What version of emoncms were you running prior to the update?
Hi TrystanLea
Many thanks for getting back to me.
I think I have found the solution after a lot of hunting around..
I created in the Nodes section of the Emonhub Config nodes for the offending nodes. They then appeared on the Inputs page, and I was then able to delete the offending items.
Where they came from I do not know!
I hope this makes sense to you.
All the very best,
Tony.
Look in emonhub.conf - is there a line near the top, in the [hub] section
autoconf = 1
If yes, that could well be your problem. I’m not aware that Trystan’s ever explained what it’s inner working are, but as I understand it, it’s an attempt to write or expand emonhub.conf with node descriptions based on some properties of the data it receives. I have no idea what criteria it uses, but it caused no end of trouble in its early days.
As you know what you’re doing, if you’re happy you are interpreting your data correctly, I’d set
autoconf = 0
Hi, Solved. Very many thanks for the assistance.
What was the solution?
I ask, so that if others have the same issue, they’ll be able to find the answer.
