Its very small power usage so I don’t really mind but I’m intrigued. My Ecodan ASHP flips between ~10W and ~30W usage while idle. Anyone know what the change is for? Does it do something when it gets warmer?
Our 8kW R290 Ecodan uses 9W with just the electronics on and 38W when the water pump is also running. Maybe your 30W comes from your water pump?
I don’t have instant power measurement for my 8kW R32, but I have noticed that the cumulative energy usage reported by the unit itself does report some irregular usage when off.
In my case at least, it is not the pump, as I have confirmed it to be off during those periods. I saw in some data sheet that the reported standby power usage is 22W, but that is most likely an average.
If you don’t have any monitoring of the heat pump itself, at the very least you can get close to the pump and try to hear if it is running when it goes to 30W
for R410a install, it does 28W idle and peaks at around 65W. Seems ‘normal’, but quite wasteful.
Also peaks seems to stop between 0:00-06:00
Yeah same. This is why I was wondering if something happens when its warm or something
